Podcasts I Have Appeared On: Grow With Soul & Fearless Hustle Collective

I am sure that if you’ve been following my work online for awhile, you will know this, but I constantly go on about how amazing podcasts are and how much value they add to my life, and business. I never saw myself as an audio learner, until I came across business and lifestyle podcasts. I have learnt so much from the myriad of podcasts I listen to daily. I decided to put together a post featuring two brilliant podcasts and episodes that I have appeared on.

A Resource Guide for Soulful Business Owners. Includes a free PDF download.

I started my business in 2016 and I honestly felt completely lost and alone. I do believe most of us launch into self-employment not always knowing what we’re doing or where to turn to for help. In the last two years I’ve gathered a community around me, I found my role models and I’ve been inspired by many people who are completely bossing it in their businesses. One of my favourite things to do has been to share these amazing people and their incredible resources with other creatives and small business owners.

2018 in Review and My Goals for 2019

Last year I put my dreams down on paper and decided that they were my goals for the year. It was ambitious. But it was also necessary. By doing that, I allowed myself to dream without boundaries, to envision the bigger picture, to aim beyond my own self-imposed limits. I didn’t achieve all the goals I wrote down then. But what I realised at the end of 2018 is that I achieved all but a couple of those that actually mattered. And had I not set them down as goals at the start of the year, I don’t know if they would have actually happened.

My Best Photos of 2018

As I wrapped up 2018, I realised that the highlight of my year has been the work I created and all the amazing the people I got to work and collaborate with. The process of looking through, selecting and collecting my favourite images wasn’t easy as there is so much that I loved creating this year. But that realisation alone makes me feel really proud and fulfilled as a photographer. I cannot wait to see what I create in 2019, but for now, here is my 2018 from January to December in photographs.

Martha & Simon: Couple Session at The Warren, Folkestone.

A sunset walk along the Warren beach in Folkestone. As the sun set lower and lower, the sky turned a beautiful pink, colouring the sea in the same shade. It was truly magical watching the sea turn from a beautiful blue to a hue of pink in a matter of minutes. You can also see France on the other side of the Channel and as the light got dimmer, you could see distant lights twinkle on the other shore. Days like these, capturing two people sharing quiet moments together, watching the still waters, are what I live for.

Learning to Take Up Space

In this post I am sharing some of these lessons I’ve learnt along the way as encouragement for you to claim your space, move beyond the fear and to show up with your gifts and talents in your life and business. Taking the space to do what you love and being part of the online world can feel vulnerable and intimidating, especially when comparison traps us with feelings of unworthiness and the idea that there’s no reason others would want to see more of us, our lives and our creations in a world that is full of talented and capable people. It is just fear and insecurity that holds us back. Because in reality, the world needs more people to show up, connect and share their light with the world.

Making the Most of Autumn

I wrote a blog post on making the most of summer back in June. And I enjoyed the process so much that I’ve decided to create blog posts to celebrate each of the seasons of the year. If you’ve been following my work for awhile, you’ll know how much I take joy in each time of year and try to make the most of it whilst it lasts. I love wild summer swims just as much as I enjoy a walk on a snowy winter afternoon. As a kid, I was taught to find beauty in every weather and celebrate the magic of nature every single day. But Autumn is by far my favourite season!

Mixing Magic and Business

I have a very intuitive and open idea of what being a witch means in the modern world. It’s not all about spells and Doreen Valiente style rituals. It’s about knowing your inner power, trusting your gut, letting your intuition guide your way and a deep connection with the natural world. But I also believe ritual to be a powerful way to concentrate your energy and focus - it’s like a combination of meditation, affirmations & visualisation. So here are some ways that you can bring a little bit more charm and magic into your business through symbols, rituals and use of your own intuition.

10 Podcasts for a Soulful Creative Business

I always thought that auditory learning was just not for me. I hear a thing, it goes in via one ear and goes out via the other. I will always choose reading a book over listening to an audio version. Everything changed when I discovered podcasts. Perhaps because I’m actually a great listener when it comes to an in-person conversation I find podcasts really engaging and helpful. Nowadays, podcasts are part of my every day. I learn tons about business, creativity, self-care, magic and all sorts. So I figured I’d share 10 of my favourite business podcasts with you.

Fierce Botanics

Fierce Botanics are crafting a wild and natural botanical tonic. Over the last couple of months I have been capturing the beautiful farm to table process of this exceptional drink. Each ingredient is organic, carefully sourced and the process is all the work of careful and loving hands: from plucking the roses, chopping & crushing all the ingredients, to mixing and creating the tonic in small batches.
