Chloe: Yoga Garden - Portrait Session
Portrait Session at the Yoga Garden
Chloe is a beautiful person. Inside and outside. She's strong, she's brave, she's mindful. She's also personalised nutrition coach & yoga specialist.
As I'm writing this late at night and my brain is a bit frazzled, I'll just share with you words that Chloe shared on Instagram soon after the session. I think they hold so much for us all to learn from. It was beautiful to observe her closely for an afternoon, and see her grow into her own presence in front of the camera. And I think it's important to share this, because, honestly, we can all relate to feeling this way. And she rocked that session! And she's so beautiful, so powerful & has such grace!
'I had a photo shoot this week, which I’m not gonna lie was a REAL TEST! I do not enjoy having my photo taken, especially for ‘work’ stuff. My critical voice goes into SERIOUS over-drive. Your skin is not perfect, that yoga pose isn’t correct, you’re too pale (what?), too thin, people will think you’re a fraud, that’s not what a nutritionist should wear they won’t want to work with you.....it is UNREAL the crazy words that can run through my head.... I am a confident woman and feel 110% secure and grounded in my personal life, but running a business is a whole other game and oh how the doubt creeps in if you let it..... But this year I am 100% devoted to put an end to it and coach myself like I would coach a client. You are enough and are an amazingly powerful ..... Catching myself is the first trick, then trying to identify the triggers has been really helpful. Though not easy. I’ve found meditation an invaluable tool along with regular journaling and saying stuff out loud. [..]
So for anyone ever doubting themselves and feeling they are not good enough, be gone with that shit. We are powerful individuals with so much to give if we just get ourselves out of the way, and don’t have time to be worrying about the small stuff. Aim high and get there!
Thank you @asaulyte for your magical skills and calming presence, I amazed myself and actually had fun and was in the best mood by the end of the shoot [...]'
If I could just spend every day like this, getting to know beautiful people, learning about their lives, their fears, their dreams, building friendships - I would. I love being in the presence of magic that people are. Especially people like Chloe, who strive to fulfil their potential & are so passionate about their purpose. And are so god damn real. I love real people. You're the people I'm here for. 100%.
As we were planning our session for early January and wanted to create images of her doing yoga, it posed a little bit of a challenge, as you can imagine - I really didn't want her to freeze! Lucky, she knew of this beautiful place in the wilderness of West Sussex that had a cosy little tipi we could use. Thanks to Yoga Garden for allowing us to use their beautiful, serene space. If you're based in Sussex and would like to attend yoga classes in a space that immediately takes you to a different world - highly recommend, it was such a pleasure to spend a day there.
