2018 in Review and My Goals for 2019

Last year I put my dreams down on paper and decided that they were my goals for the year. It was ambitious. But it was also necessary. By doing that, I allowed myself to dream without boundaries, to envision the bigger picture, to aim beyond my own self-imposed limits. I didn’t achieve all the goals I wrote down then. But what I realised at the end of 2018 is that I achieved all but a couple of those that actually mattered. And had I not set them down as goals at the start of the year, I don’t know if they would have actually happened.

Day Out: Arundel

It was so lovely to just spend a day wandering about unfamiliar streets and using my camera to capture little memories for nothing but my own enjoyment, without any pressure for them to be great. As I've been working on building a business it has been too easy to forget to use the camera as a way of preserving my own memories and capturing the beautiful moments of my personal life. White Witch: A Self-Portrait Story

Almost two years ago I read Clarissa Pinkola Estés Women Who Run With the Wolves. It's full of collective knowledge and wisdom passed down through generations from our foremothers, the wise women of the past. Reading this book was a journey back to self. It became a source of so much creativity and positive change in my life that I continue to honour the stories and learnings in my artwork.
