Meet Gemma King. The queen of tik-tok marketing and the paranormal. A successful entrepreneur, mother of two and a force to be reckoned with. Gemma is also witch embarking on a new journey, creating a space to lead other women into their inner shadows, so they can get to know themselves more deeply, connect with their inner power, desires. And gain more strength and freedom in their lives. If you know me well, you know I'm all about embracing your power, de-stygmatising the witch within and being unapologetically yourself. For centuries, women have been persecuted for simply being out of the “ordinary” *i.e. what patriarchy expects us to be*. For confidently expressing our opinions, giving voice and space to our emotions, our beliefs, our needs and pursuing our own desires. Basically just living our lives on our own terms, confident in our gifts and capabilities, and not just fulfilling a predetermined role that only serves others before us. And so a witch became a cultural trope of an ugly, scary monster lurking in the shadows, coming out only to steal your children. The antithesis to everything a woman was supposed to be. So you were either a good princess, or a monster. Even when witches like Samantha in Bewitched started to enter pop-culture, there was still a clear separation between the "good" and "bad" witch image. We're still just beginning to embrace the idea that women don't have to be one or the other, and that a balance of both light and dark is needed to be our whole selves. I’m all about empowering my clients to show up and build a brand that reflects their most bold and unique self. To drop all the expectations and rules that don’t serve them. To lean into what lights them up and take up space with their aligned self-expression. And this brand transformation was all about that.
